You will want to start by connecting the HP Printer to the laptop. The first thing you need to do is move your printer close to your laptop. It would be very inconvenient if you had to keep moving your laptop back and forth just so you can print something out! Next, connect the USB end of the cable into your printer and then connect the other end of the cable into an open USB port on your computer. Once this is done, make sure that it is connected properly by checking that windows recognizes it as a new hardware device. Windows may also prompt you for a driver right away; just make sure that both boxes are unchecked and then click next.

You're almost ready to get started! The next step is to set up the laptop and printer on a wireless network. If you already have a wireless network set up, then this step is already done for you. However, if you would like to create a new one, consult your computer manual for instructions on how to do so. If you aren't sure about any of the steps or what anything means in this process, then please contact your internet service provider for further instruction on how to do this.

Once the printer is connected to your network and ready for use, open up your printer software and check that it also says it's connected properly by looking at the connection window that should appear once you've opened it up. If it is not connected, make sure that you have the right printer software running by checking your taskbar.

Once you can confirm that both the printer and the laptop are connected to your wireless network, you are finally ready to start using your Printer on your laptop! To do this, open up a document in Microsoft Word or another application in which you want to utilize using your printer. Once this is open, open up the print dialogue box by going to file and then clicking print. It is located on the left side of the application window, near the top. You should see an option for printers or devices; make sure it is set to devices before proceeding any further with printing.

Connecting to a wireless printer is done in the same way as connecting to any other device on your wireless network.

First, make sure that your printer is plugged in and switched on.

Next, open up the Wireless menu (this may look different on different systems) and either choose Set Up New Connection or Edit Existing Connections.

Choose Set Up A New Connection and follow the instructions given by the wizard according to your operating system, making sure that you enter in all of the required information.

If you have a firewall installed this will prompt you for permission – click Allow Access if needed.
